I took these in my garden yesterday in the daylight to try and get a more natural looking colour than with using a flash. im not brilliant at photographing flowers, so this was an exercise in testing out the macro on my zoom lens as well!! whoever thought it was a good idea to put macro on a 300 mm zoom that you cant use unless the zoom lens is fully extended needs their head read! lol ...know what im saving up for next! A smaller macro lens! lol

Gorgeous and a good idea getting natural light. It is always so much nicer I think than flash, which can be so hard. Lovely composition and I like the border! Thanks for the warning on certain macro lenses!

You said you're "not brilliant" at flowers. I like the colors in this image ... I like the composition ... the overall soft focus suits me here and the blue border top and bottom works well in my opinion. So my reply would be ... you ain't exactly a dunce with flowers either. Don't argue with me Jan ... my minds made up. :o)

Hello beautiful!! WOW, a nice capture with sweet, soft color offerings!! I luv how you used the blue on blue with the small white border...it really works and draws you into the take!!

I just saw this in the VB and gave it VERY high marks. I love the softness of it and the lighting is perfect. I think the color of the frame was the rirgt choice because of the background color in the photo. Hope you get that lense you want but you sure do a great job with this one!
