Gosh Jan, I really like this view! It has a surreal or magical feel to it. That little house looks like it's make believe. The high hedges are stunning and the super green grass with those great lines, is well mowed! I got this in the VB and had to comment - yes, I gave it top marks which it deserves and it looks gorgeous on my desktop :*)
Now why can't my brother get the grass to look like that when he does the yard work!??! Lol. Very interesting shot. I really like the lines (to steal ur word) in this.
"Imperfection is beauty; madness is genius & it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring. And when it comes down to it, I let them think what they want. If they care enough to bother with what I do, then I'm really better than them."--Marilyn Monroe
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Hey Jan,
This would definitely be a winning image if submitted for a contest, the kind of images you see appearing in magazines,
Lines is IMO (one of) the key to a successful image, especially in street and architectural photography,
You have done a perfect analysis of the subject here, which enjoy a lot, (~8 8~)
Wonderfully done,
-- “If you make a great picture because of an error you made, you just show the picture and talk about how innovative you are” -- Rules of Photography. (~8 8~)
I need your opinion please! I'm entering a photo competition. Please go to my gallery and tell me which one of these five you like the best?
A.) Up Close and Personal
B.) This Beetle Likes Pink
C.) This Beetle Likes Pink II
D.) Love Bugs
E.) One Thirsty Fly
If there is another image in my gallery you think I should consider, I'm open to suggestions.

I've been going on a trip through your gallery. This one really caught my eye. I keep looking at it, and can't figure out if the house is really there, or you put it there with PhotoShop or something. Is that really someones lawn and hedges? Anyway, this shot is truely amazing. Right out of a fairy tale. I definately have to fave it.
