You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Wrong, wrong, wrong!! It's beautiful!! Not to mention, yummy!! 8~O
Outstanding color offerings exude, however, yup...there's a however. The DOF seems too tight and some lose of detail is abound. Also, I always say to utilize the 3rd most predominant color for your framing which you did so it seems...on this piece, this time I would be wrong. Perhaps just white to anchor the piece and draw the viewer in?!?! I luv the thought on the capture in which full frame of the face really works!! We don't need to see the whole thing..just the emotion which you've really pulled off nicely!!

He's a fascinating and strange bird...The colours on him are incredible. It's a superb portrait of him. Excellent work, and thank you Jan for bringing the unusual. :) + faves
