It's always poignant for me to see a solitary tree like this. It's a beautiful one, with rich branches, and that sunset is ablaze with fantastic colours. Thank you for sharing this first day of sun with us Jan. :)

Oh this is really like my 'Thorn Tree' one from my visit to Norfolk! I wonder if it was the same tree. I ruined that one by over-sharpening though and this is perfect, the shape of the tree silhouetted is just right.

wow that is absolutely amazing. i have always wanted to take a shot like this, every saturday on my way to church we drive through some farm land and there is a tree that would be perfect for it, so i am very jealous that you actually had the chance to do this. love the colors, and the softness of it all. right into my faves and on my desktop. great work! ~abby
