I heard about the first signs of Spring here this morning. Clocks to be set ahead one hour 2/9/08. Now I'm ready for the visual part like your great photo. It's scary to think of your and Sir Nigel on a shoot together. lol Excellent Jan.
Ha ha, from what Nigel said I imagined you just walking by holding your camera out and taking a shot not even breaking stride :) The results certainly don't appear that way though!~ very pretty :)))

"Where there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see." ~Dorothea Lange
It certainly did, but not here. You will have all the firsts. I went to England one March and couldn't believe how far ahead of NE your spring flora was and how green the grass. I also was surprised to find that Mother's Day is in March as well while here it is in May. I love the darkened backgrounds you get in your images. This is lovely, Jan.
Do you ever take a bad picture, Jan? This is wonderful as is is "Resevoir" which I also just viewed. Spring has not sprung around here yet and is a ways off I fear. This makes me long for it - great work once again on both counts -
