Jan, you have such a way with words. You also have a way with your artistic ability. It's aptly displayed in theis photo. Looks cold and stark. I know about cold and stark. Very good post and I'll get back to you on where I think you took this photo.
I'm betting you took that from inside the car, Jan? And that would be the most sensible place to have taken it from in my experience of Glen Coe or all those other Winter dressed Scottish hign passes. Fab picture. Or was it The Road To The Isles; you know the one that goes by Tummell or Loch Rannoch or Lock Aber...? 8-) Tommy
Click here to see WHITBY through the lens of Frank Meadow Sutcliffe! PS I have no commercial link but Sutcliffe's photographs are historical! and any photographer worth his salt should at least know the history of their subject. He is one of the reasons I consider myself lacking, by the way. TG
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to be. Trust me on this one, I live there. The Lion **** MY CAEDES GALLERY****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOME PAGE
Roughly is a good choice of word for this landscape. It is so barren and 'rough' looking, but majestic as well. Do you use a violet filter when you take these shots?
The government of tyrants cannot last long because it is hateful to the multitude, and what is against the wishes of the multitude cannot long be preserved.

Another Wow shot for me, can't believe it got such a low score. Reminds me of Japanese tinted prints, very subtle and I love the way the speckled foreground looks so painterly.
