It was a lovely day wasn't it? Glad to see you've managed to get out and about this weekend, even if that IR camera must be getting worn out ;-) What a great investment though, every shot you post with it is great. It really emphasises the shapes in whatever you take doesn't it, and it works really well in this one. Looks like a primeval forest in the age of the dinosaurs. If you feel the ground shake.....RUN!!
The high contrast images this produces reminds me a wee bit of Ansel Adams, see if you can find some high sharpish mountains to shoot and see what comes out. :) I like it.
You had the sun for 24 hours? Up here we only get it in the daytime and it gets dark at night :~) I`m teasing.....I know what ya mean. The scene looks very still and detailed, loads to see everywhere. Seems to have lots of depth to it as well. A cracking image Jan.
wow that infrared camera produces some excellent moody and atmospheric shots Jan!! ....but they need the eye of a good photographer and you have got that!

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"
To me the IR is appealing for its ability to resemble the world when it is covered in snow. There is a definite peacefulness about it and every form becomes more noticeable. Lovely image witih wonderful qualities.
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to be. Trust me on this one, I live there. The Lion **** MY CAEDES GALLERY****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOME PAGE
