Looking clear as I`m guessing your a fair a distance away. Stormy clouds filling the sky and a couple of gulls endulging in a spot of target practice I`ll bet :~0 Nice one!
According to Owd Bob those birds would be searching for me as target practice, lol! Fantastic color you've got in this shot Jan, very very nice :) I'd kind of like to have seen a bit more of the cathedral though but I'm guessing it was blocked by another building. But still the color combination between the dome and that gorgeous sky is wonderful :)

Hey JQ i love the vast colours of the clouds which are enhancing the Dome of the Cathedral. the clouds and the dome both seem the be following the same path from light at the top to dark towards the bottom. I know i haven't been on as much as i would like but i have been looking at all you work but just havent had time to leave comments.

COME ON YOU GREENS, UP THE ARGYLE.....
Well done at capturing the dome of St Peter's Jan ...and the two birds flying around .....you did well seeing as you were on a boat ...what a beautiful sky!!! Looks like you had good weather too on your mini-meet! :)

That's a great treatment of St Paul's. I can never work out how to photograph it. The warmth in the sky is really nice and the two gulls make it. And all this from a boat bobbing on the Thames. What a steady hand you have Ms Quantrill. This was obviously before the JD.

In the first moment I thought it was hanging to the right site, but as I looked closer, it does not - maybe it looked that way because of that little piece of architecture on that side - but what I really enjoy, beside that great roof, is that amazing sky.
Hey Jan,
I enjoy the sky, and the lovely colours on the old Cathedral,
I visited the place with school some years ago, lovely place,(~8
Are those the birds that landed in your newer image?,8~)
Beautifully done,

A very simple yet striking photo. The bright light is in the heavens and the dome seems to be pointing in that direction. As said before, the sky is fabulous. Also, the simple shapes of the birds contrasts nicely with the intricacies of the architecture. Into the faves...
