yup, i was up that early just to catch the sunrise! hehe, fortunatly this was the view from the balcony in our hotel so i didnt have to venture far to shoot it. This has bit of manip done to it.... the shot was landscape, but the hotel signs spoilt the view, so i cropped it to this size, i also moved the sun lol, which was further away from the mosque in the bit that i cropped out, if that makes any sense!

It made sense, and I'm glad you did it. I uploaded this right away, and I'm going to enjoy it on my desktop. Wish I had some cards made up with this scene on it!

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

It all worked imo. Excellent comp and colours. Like the catch lights in the windows, nice touch. Look forward to getting this in the VB.

GREAT SILHOUETTE! the building, the palms and the moon offer such a variety of shapes and textures. when you moved the sun, you did a super job of "moving" the lighting.

You must be pretty powerful if you can make the sun move. Sounds interesting. Great photo Jan with beautiful colors. Worth getting up early for. Nice post.

It was worth it too Jan. Only you could move the moon for a photo. It looks like one of those carvings you see on soapstone, very evocative of the east. The fine lines of the branches on the tree are lovely too.
