I feel like I am on board a ship with the bow out to sea. A beautiful and well thought out photograph. You have covered the tonal range and the addition of the colour was inspired. I also find the symetry most appealing. Good work Jan.

This is a bit of a wow shot innit. Rick's right, it does feel like the bow of a ship. Also the lines of the steps look like waves breaking up against some object. I wonder what this would look like taken the other way with - the colour pumped up rather than the bw. There's something very 1950s about this pier which is very appealing. Gets a wow from me for sure this one.
I agree with Rick as I had the idea that I was standing at the navigation bridge of a mammoth tanker, lol.
Had my doubt whether this was an IR image or not. Think now that it was a colour image which was made selectively B&W with the aid of a photo editor.
