We always used to go to Tenby in South Wales when I was a kid because my father came from there and his parents still lived near there at Carew. There is an island called Caldy about 2 miles out from Tenby and the local saying was, "If you can see Caldy,it's going to rain and if you can't see Caldy, then it is raining!" This is the picture to accompany this saying. Great atmospheric shot.

G. K. Chesterton.
You are neither taxed nor fined if you look at My Gallery.
Your attention to composition was really in high gear for this capture. The first boat grabs the attention and leads into the scene past the buildings, then catches the other boats at right angles to carry past into the shoreline and sky. The lower perspective was also a good choice imo. Much to look at. Good work. Another for the Jan file.
I wondered who would be first to post this one - I expect I'll do a version too. Love the infra on this Jan, and the fact that you spotted this view. It's also really interesting seeing how you solved the composition - that L-shape of grass in front of the boat in the foreground was my starting point too. Lovely jubbly.
"Imperfection is beauty; madness is genius & it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring. And when it comes down to it, I let them think what they want. If they care enough to bother with what I do, then I'm really better than them."--Marilyn Monroe
Great capture, Jan and I love the composition you found. I notice some folks sitting and looking out at the ocean. Possibly cursing the weather you mentioned? -
extremely beautiful - very ethereal and otherworldly. i love the way it transitions from one side to the other...on the right the composition is very full, and as the eye moves left the composition gradually empties until it reaches the sea, where at once it goes on forever and the clouds seem most ominous. very nice.
