The previous post is a hard act to follow, this however comes pretty darn close. Good timing on this one.

We can look at birds till we are blue in the face and not be moved...but this image is different-it moved me, emotionally. How sweet for the one bird to be looking lovingly up at the other. I like it.

Pelicans necking. If someone would have told me before I came to this site that I would find a photo of two pelicans neckings beautiful--I would have cringed. I am not cringing because this is a great shot. Have I gone over the edge? Good post Jan.

How many great shots are there of these things? I've had real trouble choosing one, but I've done it. Like yours - pelicans in love, never seen that before. But then again one or two of the animals were a bit amorous weren't they. I like the shapes these two make and the treatment you've given them. Frame's good and the seagull top right adds some balance. Great to see what you made of them!

"feed me! feed me!"

Excellent detail, and a fine companion shot to Nigel's (and vice versa). Outstanding job of catching just the right moment.

Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.

Great capture, Jan. Those parallel beaks really make the shot. Such a beautiful shot of such an ugly creature!
