This square cropping definitely works for you. You're getting the 'essence' of things instead of showing the whole animal. This peacock looks very regal, and the deep blues and intricate patterns really make an impression. Very cool!

A wonderful "texture" shot of this splendid fellow. The background temperature seems just a tad cool for such warm blue feather colours - I wonder how it would look with a slight warming filter?
