We had a fab weekend, Patti showed us some of her favourite spots to take pictures from. This is my version of curbar edge, as you can see the weather wasnt great, but we made the most of it anyway!
Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
Looks pretty much like the same weather that Bob dumped on me when I came over there.. However, I found UK country still pretty even in dumpy weather. Nice post.

Considering your previous post, I won't tell you what I thought the subject of this one might be. lol I am happy to see that it is an amazingly beautiful landscape from a high vantage point. That must be some ancient artifact directly ahead, but it works to draw our focus right into the valley below.
I was thinking that has to be some kind of gun to shoot a hole that big through that boulder:) I agree with the others, like the perspective and find I rather also like the sky as the brightness giving way to the f/g adds to the depth and misty look.
sorry if i don't comment on each of your pictures. to those of you who comment so often, i can't imagine how you get it done! i for one am always extremely grateful for the kind comments and suggestions that you make.

Thats a beautiful view even with the grey skys. Looking like your very high up to get this and can see for miles. Really like the intrest in the fore as well Jan. Glad you had a good time even though the weather was not the best.
Cindy is too funny with her remarks. However, I was watching my step when I opened it as well.
Great view and it must have been nice to be with so many accomplished photographers. It makes it easier to overlook their other deficiencies. Just kidding. Great work.
Jan, was searching with Google Maps, but couln't find Patti country, lol. Can see that the weather wasn't great, but you've captured still a good image.
Regards, Cornelius.
A beautiful landscape. I know you said the weather was far from good, but I think it works well in this one. Kind of adds to the mystery of the capture. Lyn.
Where ? Where's Patti's Car ?
Good Capture Jan.
You did notice that Patti takes you to these places when the Weather is Crappy ? LOL.
She's a Smart One that Girl.
What arcane use IS that rock with a hole put to? We don't have none of them things DownUnder, must be some new fangled teknology that hasn't got to the colonies yet. :)
Super landscape shot and the weather enhances it I reckon.
ohhhh now where have I seen this before? lol! excellent shot Jan considering how misty and overcast it was late in the afternoon on Saturday! It felt a bit like Wuthering Heights not Curbar Edge!!! :)
..thanking you in advance for your comments. Please know that all your comments are appreciated....." Live well, love much, laugh often!" .... mygallery
We did have a fab weekend and it was so good to be in Patti country. Kind of a shame about the weather when we went up to Curbar Edge but you still got a great shot. As for Patti's Wuthering Heights comment....I wonder who Heathcliff might be? (Wanders off whistling).
