Nice shot Dimps. You probably got water splashed on them getting this close. It reminds me of mercury running about.

Good post.

I like the idea of black and white for this one. I have tried the water lillies in black and white myself and never been this good. LOL. Nice work. Lyn.

I love the textures and the light, just delicious. Not entirely convinced about the dof or the comp but I can see how the blurred foreground makes the image a series of circles moving up into the image in increasing disorder.

A wonderful B&W, nicely framed and shot. Just enough lilly to see what it is, and not quite enough to make it intriguing, if you know what I mean. The B&W presentation adds to the artistry.

Surprising but great post Jan. Thought at first sight that it was a B&W abstract, but see now how inventive you've captured some waterlillie leaves.
Regards, Cornelius.

Soo sorry I'm late commenting, you know my weeks are a bit pressured at the minute. I like this - I looked at some similar shots myself but didn't think they were up to it. You got a lovely softness, yes the DOF's off but I think it adds - really throws the front leaf in to focus.
