They filmed part of the movie The Beach here
it was beautiful, but it rained and rained and rained.... good job we were on a boat i guess, as was soaked through to the skin! hehehe.
Jan i think this is just great. I love the water on this one. Thought it looked kind of familiar because I just recently watched The Beach. This is Beautiful
I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!
Great view. The water color contrasted against that sky is really breathtaking. It looks like the photo was taken from the inland side. How fortunate to have this in your memory bank. Now we can share it vicariously.
It was a long night in the pictures when me and my wife went to see that film. I hated it! Shame you never got the weather but I`m liking the dramatic sky in here and a different mood for a beach shot.

This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By.
Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience
Fantastic, i prefer this one to the "bond" version! The water swirling about the rocks, the sky, the green of the sea, the whole picture just works so well, i could hang this on my wall. Fantastic shot, faved too :)
OK - now I think your just rubbing it in with all these beach shots - ;). I like everything about this - the trailing clouds, beautiful water color, the mountains and even the color of the sand. I'm faving -
We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"
This is a 10 in my books. Not many landscapes move me to
comment, but your image is outstanding; location, light,
composition, resolutuion and depth of field. Thanks for
sharing.
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Well you know I'm so behind with comments so I won't apologise. Having another insomniac moment and going through friends' galleries...I like the fact that it's raining and the sky's grey in this, it contrasts really well with the turquoise water and warm coloured sand. I'd love to visit this place, it must have been amazing.
