Excellent. You have captured the dignity of the man beautifully and enhanced it all the more with your perspective and composition. The quality of the shot far outways the lack of sharpness in my opinion. Kudos

Breathtaking capture! Yes, the face says it all... the almost pensive expression amidst a work focused destination. Beautiful! Wen

As you say, it could be sharper, but the foto
of this man and his expression is wonderful!
People fotos do not usual have a hign score in
the V.B, but I like people shots, and when I get this in the V.B
I give you a 10 !

It's such a good portrait, Jan, right down to the sweat on his neck. That must be hard work. Did you try selective sharpening of just his eyes and hat or something? I just watched a video about that so it is fresh on my mind. The subject of the video was even wearing a straw hat! lol It looks here though like you softened the image on purpose. Great shot!

This most certainly conveys the impression of stolid dignity. I normally don't care much for portraits but I do like this. I agree with you on the sharpness but it's still an excellent post -

Well my dear, let me tell you something. I don't normally keep pictures of people but I'm keeping this one. It's as focused as it needs to be. Don't worry about that. This image holds my attention. The color is simply divine. Very realistic appearing.
Excellent. if I get in the VB it will get a 10. I don't give very many of those out.

I think we're all in agreement on this one. Now if everyone would/could cast a vote....

Anyway, to me he looks like a golden man. The lighting and the "softness" is perfect for this photo and I wouldn't wish for it to be any more clear than it is. It looks like a painting and one that's full of expression.
