You're just like my mum in the UK - she's always saying how the snow drops are coming up, or the crocuses (should that be croci?) are showing or that the daffodils are looking lovely in the spring sunshine. Then I look out of the window here in Canada and it's -35ºC with a windchill making it feel like -42ºC and no sign of spring for weeks yet!

I'll get off the soap box now and say, yes, I do like this shot, as these delicate snowdrops are a favorite of mine.

And send me a shot when the bluebells are out. The grass here might be poking throught the snow by then.

Finally, congrats on getting a job. That's surely a good sign for spring indeed. No easy feat these days.

I think it can safely be said that Spring has sprung, Jan! Snowdrops are such simple but beautiful flowers. You must have got wet knees taking this shot!

Congrats on the job.

Yes, we can sense the spring in the air. Do you know the story about the Snowdrop? They say the snowdrop has a stepmother, who is sending it out in the snow to work, although it's winter and freezing. She doesn't care... Do you believe in fairy tales? :)))))

Beautiful shot and I am glad to see spring is working its way north and west. Congratulations on your new job. I too agree you will be the boss before it is over. You are too talented.

I used to take wedding pictures but sometimes I didn't get paid before they split up. I now take divorce photos and the pay is great from one of the parties, they are much happier and the divorce generally lasts. Just kidding of course.

Congrats on the job Madam. One thing, when you're doing the weddings make sure it's the people you take pictures of, yeah? Not the pretty church, or the nicely textured wooden door, or the amazing light coming through the stained glass windows. The people, yeah? Anyway like this one, nice dof and a strong simple image. I'm not sure snowdrops are really a sign of spring mind you.... ;-)
