What a wonderful shot you've captured of this archway, Jan. I remember seeing it shortly after it was built: very stark back then, without all the beautiful greenery that's since grown around and near it.

Excellent composition and your post-processing really leads your eye right through the arch to the stunning topiary beyond.

Nice work, my friend. Extra sarnie for you on Thursday lunchtime!

A wonderful study in perspective. I love the way it draws you in to the "Secret garden" at the end. the light and the vignetting is just right.

Wow...almost looks like a painting!! Maybe it could be one of your next ones ;) I think everything works here...the blackened border and corners makes you focus into the scene, which goes on forever in a repeating fashion. Great color, nice detail...wonderful shot..faved!!

That's very atmospheric - and yes, very 'Secret Garden', I adored that book and the tv series. I like the vignetting and the frame here, and the splash of purple at the top. Very strong composition too, and the dof's great, with some blurring in the foreground and on the floor but the round shapes of the box plants perfectly in focus. Plus lovely light to set it all off - good one this.

Absolutely gorgeous. You expect to see a beautiful princess walking past the archway, walking arm in arm with prince charming. Amazing. Right into my favorites.

Congrats on making the home page display.

P.S. If you get a chance, take a look at a few of my more recent ones, and let me know what you think. Any comments, criticisms, advice, or critiques would be welcome. Have an awesome day!!
