And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."
Wow, it's "knot" bad! Couldn't help myself. Really though, the detail in this photo is great. Didn't notice the tiny little feather barely clining on until I viewed in full screen. Well done, good close up!
Very nice close up Jan - I also like the feather with the knot. Perhaps a bird with aspirations of a big nest thought he could carry off some strands and left a feather instead.
It looks a variation of the bowline know Dimps if I remember correctly from my scouting days. I am sure Sea or Raj could tell you right off. It looks like a pretty big rope to try and tie up a bird. Must have been a big bird. Excellent textures and clarity.

Perfect depth of fiel, the feather adds something to it and of course the soft black and white looks amazing. Heres a leason on how to look at a knot and turn it into a peice of artwork. Thanks for sharring.
