I think the flowers need watering Jan. Very cool shot, I love the white background. You are the only person I know who would buy a mirror just because you want to photograph it!

I agree - it is very creative and it's also quite good. The only thing missing is your smiling face in the mirror -

The lighting kit looks very good Dimps. I like the old mirror as well. I think Sir Nigel is right about the roses. It must have been a good night.

And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

Nostalgia, is what came up in my mind by seeing this shot.

Like what you have done here, the only thing is the heater in the mirror, I would have clon that out, but that's my opinion ofcourse.

But nevertheless a great shot and idea:o)

Hey Jan...this is such a uniquely beautiful photo. I love what you've captured with this mirror and the dried flowers. Makes me wonder about how long ago it might have been. And the perfume bottle gives this an extra special romantic touch. I like this idea of yurs very much. Verena

I love the character of the mirror and flowers but personally I think the white backdrop detracts from this character.

This is a very good shot! You have a great sense of composition. :) Oddly perhaps, it is the perfume that finishes off this shot, balance I suppose. :) How do you have your lighting setup? Have a great day!
