Happy New Year, Jan.
Thanks for this wonderful shot. Makes me shivering (both from its beauty and the cold, lol).
Regards, Cornelius.

A really nice shot Jan - I like the way the lights on that building at the end look like stars. Very tranquil but cold feeling.

I don't fave many images but this one is exceptional on so
many levels. There is so much to look at and think about.
You never seem to disappoint showing off the depth of your
ability and knowledge of a good capture.

This has to be my favourite of the two. The colour one without people is technically brilliant but almost sterile in its outlook. This one has life, and is photographed in such a way that the people appear both solid and ephemeral. This gives the picture the air of ghosts of the past, the bygone era of the piers now that so few exist. This lifts the image from a mere picture into a classic photograph above all your excellent work. Or, put another way, not bad at all.

I like the effect and how it shows the people as shadows or ghosts Dimps. The star effect with the lights is a great touch as well. Cutting edge as are many of your posts. I notice most of yours make the perms which speaks volumes.

Really great shot, Jan...perfect for B&W and I love the timed exposure to get some movement with the people walking. I just wish it were a bit more symmetrical. Seems to be what you were getting at with the symmetrical benches in the middle, so I'm feeling like I'm missing some more of the shot to the right. Still, great shot...I really like! Happy New Year!!

I like this shot the best also, Jan. I like the movement you've given us and the b/w choice makes me feel the cold your talking about. Brrrrrrrrr -
