Reminds me of fireworks. Fireworks shot by 'marty the monochrome munitions monkey'. But I'll defer to your vision ... yep, I see a cocoon.

Hmm, apparently I haven't seen this one yet. I find the texture here very interesting: lack of minute, unnecessary detail and coarse spots give it a nice glow, it feels different from those crisp later flames, but this difference doesn't subtract from its merit. And yeah, nice structure!
