This would be a marvelous photo with just the bottlebrush -- lovely colors and composition. But with the lorikeet, in its amusing pose, this photo becomes very, very special. Jacqueline, this is a work of art that should hanging in a gallery somewhere.
I want to wake up to that myself Jacqueline. This is EXCELLENT and presented with perfection. And on the desktop.....W O W. Outstanding post and I sure thank you ;)
Super job there AB, I'll bet if you threw a bucket of water out there at em' they'd cut out all that racket.LMAO :-) Smile sweetie just consider the source. LOL
I could definitely live with the noise and this view Miss J. Excellent capture of both of these lovelies from your window. Your framing works so well with this also. Amazing photography.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

Wow! Those colors just jump right off the screen! You are so lucky to wake up to these little lorikeets and beautiful scenery! I'm lucky to wake up to a couple of sparrows..=P
Picture Purrrfect .
A purrrfect world is what we all want, but, seems too unobtainable. If I've viewed and commented on your post, and you liked my remarks then NO THANKS is needed...just getting to see your wonderful work is thanks enough for me!!
Also BIG thanks to all who check out my work!! I appreciate any and all comments & feedback!!
Jacqueline, you have a lovely view to wake up to ... a sweet little bird also. An excellent presentation of this image ... wonderful detail & colors. Very nicely done.
What a lovely sight to greet you in the morning, what with the colorful tree and birds just outside your window, and while I am not familiar with the sound of lorikeets it's gotta' be better than crows and starlings which is what I often get, lol...great composition.:Pat.
Bravo! What a beautiful and colorful photo you have taken. It looks like you have a little slice of paradise right outside your window. Thank you for sharing this one with us---tim
A fabulous shot Jackie ! Lucky you to have a natural alarm clock ! I see all that beautiful red & green ... then wham ! A gorgeous surprise with his blue head peeking through the foliage. Nicely done hon !
Hi Jackie, this image is breathtakingly beautiful!! Can you imagine in your wildest dreams, that one might see all of these naturally and brilliantly colored birds, outside our window? Australia is so generous with tropical birds such as these! As I am writing to you, I am reminded of your beautiful purple trees you have captured and shared with us in the past!! Simply a delight to see, and to enjoy! Your continent offers many photographic opportunities, that differ in many ways from those of others, as it should be! To my knowledge Jackie, you are the only member from Australia that I am aware of, is this true? So, it is imperative that you stay on the job and continue to be productive in your supply of great works for all of us at Caedes!! We need you! LOL!! These little Lorikeets are lovely!!! Sincerely, Marilyn
I saw a peanut stand, heard a rubber band,
I saw a needle that winked its eye.
But I think I will have seen everything
When I see an elephant fly.
