I have a fondness for the Foster & Rastrick foundary in Stourbridge - the site where the first steam locomotive that ran in America was made. So this building is well over 150 years old - look at the steel roof trusses. The building had been used right to within the last 5 years and there are plans for it to be saved from demolition, as reported in the Stourbridge News. Otherwise it would have been as site of desolation. I hope more of it than my picture is preserved. Must confess that I'm not one for sepia tones, but this one seemed to work better in sepia than in colour or B&W.

You are right about the sepia look. It really gives it a certain positive feel to it.Very well presented, and a great shot for the contest. Good luck.

Great entry for the contest John. A building built that solid ought to be good for at least another 100 years or so. Sepia is perfect for its age for sure.

This is a great capture my friend. I am glad it is being saved. A part of our history such as this should not be forgotten.

Love the tones!...

I always think scenes like this are better not 'coloured'! eh!..

By the way...a suitable subject for the present comp on here..'Desolation'!...

I think the sepia does work in this. Atmosphere reminds me of plundering through one of my granddad's old barns he had with ancient equipment and tractors. I can easily imagine the smells and sounds when in use.

Wonderful! I'm not sure where to set my eyes, it's a busy image, but still very nice. I love the sepia and the light coming through the windows.
Thanks for sharing and all the best of luck in the contest!
