Funny looking stick on the banks of the Kananaskis River, in the Stony Reserve. I'm sure there's a story surrounding that enigmatic smile. I was going to crop it tighter to the centre, but I quite liked the collage of green and stone. The wood has an interesting aged texture.

You have a natural composition going...and I think the absolute clarity of the entire image makes this picture very appealing. Oh... as to the smile with the faintly furrowed brow... this is the whale who has just realized he swallowed Jonah! :)
