J E F, J F K--Grassy knoll. Maybe we could choose a different spot for the picnic.

Just joking John. The whole scene is truly a picnic to see. I do like the lead in with the water and grassy knoll. Very well composed.

Something inside me just loves the "mini-mountains" (the big stones) in the foreground and the "maxi-mountains" (the Rockies) in the background! A symmetry, with the river leading the eye correctly. I also like the limited colors... with the tan-to-gold extending from the stones and grasses in the front clear to the back. I think this is a very well-planned picture.

Simply beautiful! I really like the lighting on the trees! they act as a dark line separating the water in the foreground from the mountains in the background. Lovely!
