A bitter sweet shot for me, as this is the final resting place of my grandmother, from her internment in February/10. Although she passed in December, she was just 2 months shy of 102 and we celebrated that she was a longstanding light of the family.

The church is interesting for it's tower from the Tudor period, while the main church was rebuilt in the Victorian era.

Once again, I've found a use for HDR to bring out the detail of the clouds, which I think balances the stones of those resting below.

A wonderful scene to honor your Grandmother, John. 102 is amazing. I believe the FDR brings out the beauty and nostalgia in the scene.
Makes me think I am in the back pew of the Church with the backs of the tombstones.

Nicely composed scene and good tribute to your grandmother. Great post-photo work. I like the colour tones and the lighting.

Nice shot, a bit dramatic, maybe because of the wonderful sky.
I love it, excellent.

Incredible scene. Beautifully composed. I think the effects with the clouds enhances the fact that the photo evokes a feeling of brrrrrr...I'm cold.

Your grandmother lived a long and eventful life. Hope I live to 102!
Fantastic shot of the church. Just love old churches like this. Always under that church has seen through history...only if walls could talk.

Well, lets hope you inherited her genes. If so, you'll be snapping photos for a long time.

I don't mind confessing that this puts my recent church shots totally in the shade. An absolutely stunning piece of work. Your Gran would be really proud of you.
