There's something eerie about these lonely stones, plonked into the lonely Welsh countryside.

Like the Gwern Einion burial chamber, the construction of these monoliths are believed to be done thousands of years ago.

Apologies to Stanley Kubrick fans but I think I can hear a Strauss Waltz in the distance.

I like the solitary stone against the gray sky. The grass completes the composition.

Great surroundings for such a brooding subject. I have always thought that if I could travel in time, I'd go back, not forward... and get to the bottom of this mystery and so many others that are similar.

These are scattered throughout our 'Kingdom' pal...they used to represent the 'Druids' of old!....spells, goolies and witches!...

but they do come in use for a nice photo too!...

Bit of a halo around the stone but other than that you've evoked the feel of these Standing Stones really effectively.
