Spotted this unusual sight of a fern growing out of a wall in an urban area so took a few snaps, Processed it in 32bit and I've added some subtle Orton-type effect to this one and tone-mapped it a little with Photomatix

Definitely evokes mood...calming and yet kinda spooky! I love the wiry, gnarly and curling fern, as well as the generous mortar between the bricks. Your post treatment give a glistening look to the mortar and the Orton effect adds a bit of mystical to the image. I really like what you have done here. Downloaded to examine longer. Good eye!
