Another lightning shot in a 20 sec. frame. Capturing the forward step and return stroke luminating the clouds above. I got rid of distracting street lights and used curves to deepen the glow. 20", f.11. ISO 200 - Tungsten white balance. I'm pretty stoked about this one!

Yeah I was going to ask for suggestions on getting rid of noise. All that appeared when I used backlight with photoscape. I will try out neat image.. thanks for the comments.

Wow, this just points out how shocking and powerful lightning is. Something to take seriously. You can use Neat Image as a free trial for as long as you want. I've used it that way since I downloaded it a few years ago. I heard that Noise Ninja is another good program. You must have had the ISO set up high. Sometimes you have no choice. Amazing photo, Jay!
