Waiting for Saturday Night

My grandmother used to tell me of the time, that some sixty or seventy years ago, one might've only showered or partially washed themselves during the week...and that the "big cleanse down" would occur in the bathtub every Saturday Night, so that one would be spotless for church the next Sunday Morning...

What a sparkly bathroom. Yes, when I was little, it was a bath every week and no more than 3-4 inches of water in the bottom to help the septic system. lol

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Nice image. Not sure about the story with this though - I didn't think showering would have been in the picture. A lot of people wouldn't have had a bathroom at all of course. Then again, maybe things were different wherever you are. Or where your grandmother was. My mother's family had a bathroom, but not my father's...
