I think it's pronounced "shuh-LAY-lee", which is an old heavy Irish walking-stick hewn from some very strong wooded trees..."Jest befittin' ef whet a Leprichaun would be a-carryin'...ahhnd, jest in time fer St. Pat's...Now donn't be gettin' near me pot o'gelld...'cos ye wenn't be a buyin' no rounds o'Guinness wit' MY cache!!!" You do know what a Shil-lay Leeeee can do?....in the hands of someone like the Maven or Pat Andre' they are lethal clubs???
I like the idea of the cookies though..(Biscuits to us!)..Would they perhaps,! have a wee drop of the Oirish Malt for flavour then!....I enjoyed the Craic !

Yes, I think Shenanigan's would have been a better name for the cookies.
Considering a Shalaileigh is an old irish walking stick/club made from the root of a tree/shrub, namely a long piece of wood with a heavy knob on the end of it, used for bashing british brain's in, it hardly fits.

Just a tid-bit of worthless knowledge for the day.

So auntie has a new product? I hope, you will all give us a free packet, so we can look, if it tastes that nice, as it looks like. Smile.

Wow! We could not have this in California. We used to have Girl Scout cookies called Samoans but now it is ethnically incorrect. We used to have a cookie called Tagalongs but now that was culturally insensitive. The ones called white shortbread dont seem to offend the short or white? THis one would be anti-Irish in California. But so clever!!

Not that I'm offended by the image in any way! I think the whole image is really neat, and a great Saint Patrick's Day celebration pic! I just thought you might like the bit of Irish history info. Sorry if I sounded offended!
