...This is my BW (Greyscale) contest entry...
In Photoshop (of course) I took a photograph of our cats (Nate and Bart), cut them out of the image, and did a threshold assignment, adjusted accordingly, and then "magic wanded everything" and gave it a layer of black (kittie shapes and fill)...That done, I then used a "diamond plate" (I LOVE diamond plate) shape layer I had made via freehand shapes and putting them together...I then duplicated the DP layer, and gave each of them a black and white color via extreme ends of the "hue and saturation" settings...I then recalled the black kitties layer, used it as a "cookie cutter" in invert to make the black diamond plate complete the fill for the cat image...I then utilized the same "cookie cutter" (again in reverse invert) to cut out the white diamond plate to fit around the cats...That done, I then gave both diamond layers a slight "shadow" effect, took a white backgrond and did a slight black satin effect, flattened everything, and voila...finished concoction...
Now what did you think I was going to do, a greyscale "Rhonda"(?)...Nahh...I'm still working on her character illustrations, and besides...I'm saving her (and other "spooky-ooky" concoctions) for Halloween, my favorite time of year...which is just around the corner! :)
