Until late last summer, it had been the better part of six years that I didn't own any kind of car, whatsoever...I'd mostly gotten by with rides from my sister and friends, bus, car service, and occasionally (at great risk), my mentor Vicki's old clunker up until it finally died @ 200K+ mi, and had to be junked...
I finally was able to scrounge and save here and there enough for this one, a '96 Taurus GL...Not much to it, but it has pretty low mileage for a car its age (about 76K when I bought it, just under 80K now)...A few expected issues that I had to lock down, but other than that, it runs great, gives a comfortable ride, and best of all - no car note! My fourth Ford...I chose this model not out of customer product loyalty, but for the fact that with so many of these cars produced, the junkyards are teeming with spare parts for years to come, so I'm good right now...
This was taken by a simple phone cam, so it won't win any awards in the clarity or image quality depts...
