...A very basic cut and dry version of Ivy... Part of my home rehab regiment, along with a PIC line that was "installed" @ the hospital during my second week's stay...(Nurses and clinicians---and possibly vampires lol---love when a pic line is present for times when a blood sample must be taken, thus eliminating the need for vein hunting and excess needle jabbing) ...In addition to a loaner Wound Vac with a visiting nurse that changes the airtight dressing every three days, I also administer four antibiotic drips per day myself that extends for the next six weeks (a.k.a. Extended Antibiotic Therapy)...

Oh, I am so familiar with this scenario, Ron. Had a similar situation when I returned home from rehab too. Not much fun, but that infection should be chased off by those antibiotics. Bet you are getting PT too. Get well soon.
