After almost 3 days of no electricity, my power came back on about two hours ago (at the time of this post), courtesy of those that risked their lives to restore service...Had to throw out all my perishables, but my losses are nothing compared to what has transpired in many parts of the Tri-State area...
This simple concoction is symbolic of the losses of both properties and lives brought on by the wrath of Hurricane Sandy...May our hearts and prayers go out to those that have suffered...and to those that have survived...
Oh, and belated Happy Halloween...

I concur with your thoughts, Ron. We weren't without power for more than a day, but I sure have seen lots of images of what our close neighbors in NY and NJ had to endure. So sad. I hope they get it all put back together quickly. Who'd have thought that at the end of October, a storm would brew and head right for Jersey shores.
