"I'm into blissful vice...by the slice!"

...Nothing makes NYC/Brooklyn-born Carlotta Calzone (a.k.a. "W3dg3") happier than a well-prepared pizza pie...Working in her father's small pizzeria back east from the age of seven, W3dg3 learned every aspect of pizza making from choosing the proper ingredients, to preparation, and finally the optimum baking techniques..."Make every pie a work of art," her father would tell her, "Don't strive to be the biggest...just the best!"

Later, after graduating from college with a degree in culinary arts...W3dg3 set out to obtain gainful employment as a chef's assistant, with hopes of eventually securing the role of master of the kitchen..."You might want to get yourself to a smaller city." her father advised her, "Wannabe chefs are a dime a dozen in the Big Apple, even if you ARE originally from this town!" So W3dg3 ventured out on her own, her travels eventually taking her all the way across the country to Mess County, where she landed a job as a short order cook at a diner in Artopolis...She enjoyed what she did there, and eventually became part owner of the establishment, but it just wasn't the destiny she had in mind...

Sadly during this time, she had been contacted and informed that her father's pizza shop had been destroyed in a gas explosion in which he also perished...Immediately, W3dg3 packed her bags and headed out on the first available flight back to NYC...Everything was as she had been told...The family business was history...

After her father's funeral, W3dg3 decided then she would carry on his legacy, and open up a pizzeria of her own, somewhere in Mess County...Artopolis itself however, was out as a location...Too much competition, and "His DISonner" (Mayor Grafft) was placing far too of much a tax squeeze on small businesses, which she was already experiencing...Her own offbeat nature and Wiccan beliefs (Very much always to her parents' disdain) took W3dg3 south to Witches Valley, in which she found the town's atmosphere and people very comfortable...Much to her surprise, she was informed that the only pizza establishment in the area was in Screwup, some 15 miles to the Southwest (see map)..."Ohh, no no no!", W3dg3 said in her thick Brooklyn Accent, "That's not gonna continue to happen!" Quickly, she sold her interests in the diner, and with those finances, along with a sizeable sum inherited from her father, Witches' Valley Pizzeria was established...

Utilizing her father's tried and true methods, as well as having the best of luck when it came to an opportune location, W3dg3's pizza shop was almost, although not quite, an overnight success! The place is always busy with the pizza loving locals, and her father's original pizza recipe is now well-known throughout Mess County, including Artopolis (some travel the long distance just for the unique NYC-inspired taste)...Although she now has the finances to expand to other shops in the surrounding area, she prefers to follow the philosophies of her father, Guiseppe (Gus) Calzone..."I'm happy, thankful, and content with what I have," W3dg3 states, "...and besides...where else can I dress like I want, and nobody says 'Boo'? Hell, I never liked cook's whites, ANYWAY!"
