"We're looking at two things: One is whether or not there is any criminal liability attached to this fire ...and secondly, if there IS criminal liability - against WHOM!" - ALAMEDA COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY NANCY O'MALLEY

...By now you've all heard about this...Judging by the images of the place before the fire, it clearly was an accident waiting for somewhere to happen, and it did just that...(At the time of this post, the death toll was 33, it would increase to 36, shortly afterwards)

- BOTH the owner, and the creepy-assed coordinators she leased the property to should face some stiff prison time, methinks!

"Back Issue": Mall Shootings...

And, also, the slowness of response from those responsible for inspections:

The Oakland Planning and Building Department launched an investigation a month ago...citing an "illegal interior building structure."

Attendees said that the fire extinguishers would not function when they tried to use them...and the venue did not have any fire sprinklers or alarms.
