Don't kid me. He's clutching his food tightly. He was afraid you were going to take it from him. He probably thought you were the biggest nut he had ever seen. He might be right. Great capture Jim Bob. See you have some snow there also.
Isn't this adorable Jim!!! We have a couple squirrels that come in our frontyard that come right up to us too! They're expecting some bread pieces though..lol..I love them squirrels! I really do. Excellent capture and fav'd

Ah, the trials and tribulations of a person out with a telephoto lens and your subject actually comes up close...I've had it happen to me before, and it made me understand why when you see some ppl out and about shooting they have more than one camera strapped on and diferent lenses on each!!
Great shot...it's clear, colorful and very dramatic.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
You really did catch his personality. He looks great against the snow doesn't he? It's the same thing here, they'll come running up to you and in some places will even run up your leg. I guess they need all the food they can get before hibernating. Kind of an appealing idea isn't it? A big meal and then sleep for three months...
Thanks to all my friends for the wonderful images I get to look at and learn from on Caedes every day. I always have something to say about them, but don't always have the time to record it. Please forgive me if I can't comment on all of your uploads.
Jim, although you said that the picture didn't turn out very good, it's a wonderful and a very cute image to me. Think the squirrel must have been very hungry. Anyhow a great shot.

This is a great shot Jim. I think that if you cropped in tighter on the squirrel it would be an awesome shot of it. If he could talk to us it looks like he would be saying, "Boy is it cold out here! Gotta keep my diggers warm!" Nice capture of another of those special moments in time.
Looks like he wasn't about to share his nuts with you. Great capture of his reaction to you standing there. Nice and clear. Good work! We keep getting snow flurries over here but nothing good for picture taking.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Interesting Jim...this guy sure is used to humans...someone must have been feeding him...too bad you did not have nuts he probably would have ate out of your hand...nice capture of him!!...gerry
