This is not a black and white picture, although it appears to be one. There was just nothing with color in sight. The trees around town all looked like this, around 7:30 AM. I couldn't waste the opportunity, so I took a few pictures.

Nice work Jim! This is a great picture! It does appear to be black and white but if you look real hard at the trees you can see a bit of color. Great Job again!

Thanks a lot for sending this stuff to us. We're getting socked in even as I type, but you certainly took good advantage of it.

It does look like you made this black and white but when I zoomed in on the trees I see the color, Nice somber mood to this photo. I like the angle on the fence, good work Jim.

Very nice Jim SpongeBob. I see you're soaking up all the snow shots you can. You'll probably be glad when St. Patrick Day comes. Sorry, that show is a favorite around here. I love the color, or lack thereof in this. The leading line with the fence is excellent. Seems Mother Nature has wrought some cruel but photogenic weather on you. Have a good day.

kinda nice to see the snow on these trees, but I feel I'm not seeing a road or something and it was cut from the image. it would be a little more interesting with the rest of the vista in the pic.

These shots get better and better. This one's just superb. Everything I said about the last one is true here - the network of branches gives such a fine mass of shapes, and the natural monochrome is just wonderful. This one got the huge C-index it deserves. Hats off JimBob, that new camera is bringing out the best in your photography.
