I was really not too far away from this deer at the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge. There were four of them wandering around on the other side of a water filled ditch.

Looks like you get his confidence too JimkeepingverystillBob. Or maybe you were in fatigues? We call them camouflage here. Good shot and she looks in great condition. TG

Remember still your first deer picture and the advice that Tick you gave then. Within a few days you had a far better one, but this image beats everything! Great job Jim, very well done my friend!

It's not easy getting even this close to a deer, even when using a telephoto, either that or I am a natural deer detractor, subtractor, or whatever else you want to call people that scare these critters away. I think there's a little too much contrast in the ears against the background, but take that for whatever it's worth.
We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

I wasn't sure if this was about the deer or the new avatar. Although I shudder to think what the character in the avie would eat. Deer presumably, which is why this one's looking so terrified! Nice shot Jim Bob.
