This was taken yesterday morning, about 7:30. The scene is Aldrich Pond, near my home. I didn't get up that early, I work midnight shift, so I was already up.
No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
COME ON YOU GREENS, UP THE ARGYLE.....
Excellent shot JimmydeansausageboB. Did you leave the decoys or take them home with you. jk I love your use of natural lighting and the rising sunlight illuminating the treeline. Excellent post my friend.
Another wonderful sunrise shot Jim. Can't help it, but your narrative made me smile. Really thought that the first priority of people who worked the night shift was, when work is over, to jump into the bed instead of making pictures, lol.
Very good work again JimcapturingimagesafternightshiftboB.
Regards, Cornelius.
I agree with Cornelius. I work days but I am way too tired to go out and take photos when I get off. I am usually lucky just to get something for dinner before the snooze-off in the recliner takes place! You are a real photographer, giving up creature comforts for that next capture. But one word of warning about walking around in the woods at that hour with a camera, those ducks just me turn you in to the authorities like they did to Tick!
I'm in love! Such a beautiful place! I love that sun coming up and with the beautiful greens and those peaceful ducks its just marvelous! +fav'd buddy!

This is lovely Jim. I love that sunrise peeping through those trees. And I am a sucker for ducks and geese, so I think I would be down there at the crack of dawn even just to see them! Well done!

Good 'Un JimMidnightShiftBob. Fine color breaking through the clouds. Careful now, this is the same type of pic that got Tick in Trouble a while back. If Fish and Game catch you don't mention my Name. Do like me and dress up as an Egret.
Such a beautiful use of this lighting situation. A wonderful scene of the ducks on the water and that line of silhouetted trees on the horizon as the sun makes its appearance. A really fine capture and post, Jim.
Whether you got up early or you hadn't been to bed, the effect is the same - that special soft light. I like the gentle orange glow through the trees and the angle you've taken this from is great too. I should tell you you've got something on your nose though. Looks like a cherry.
What a most beautiful way to begin the day! The see the sun rising to greet you! I love how you captured the whole quiet of the start of the sunrise...peeking out behind the trees to teaze you into the day! I love how you captured the whole thing..very nicely done my dear. Verena
