When I headed toward the Marblehead Lighthouse, it was a really nice, sunny day. Then the clouds rolled in and the rains came. By the time I got there, it had rained very hard, and the sun never did come back out. Just my luck.
Looks great Jimmer! Wow those waves really stand out! Great little lighthouse in the distance among beautiful green trees too! And of course your cloudy sky..lol..Excellent shot and post hun!

For me and my poor animal named Boris such views bring hope of survival - the next week here 30degrees Centigrade or better and NONE of them clouds whatsoever. How do you call a summer hibernation =reduction of activities to minimum ?!!!
In other words the images of water, winds, frost etc are most welcome here nowadays PLEASE
Jim, if you didn't have bad luck, you'd have no luck at all! lol I know, bad, old joke! Sometimes though the shots come to you as in this instance. Those waves are so refreshing and might not have had such lovely contrast in full sun. The darkening atmosphere tells a story about what is to happen next. Such a nice composition on the scene too.
I don't think I have seen the lighthouse from this angle. I really like the waves. You never know when a great opportunity like this will come your way. You have to be ready and you were. Nice post JimboB.
Now Jimbo..were you running away from Tick???? after ya did what ya did with the red Caddie??!! tsk tsk...but you know what, I love it when storms enter the sea like this....such drama. I think this photo is gorgeous. I love the temperament of these kinds of storms and rolling seas. Love the murky colour even. So there!! Verena(smiling)
Great title JimBob, I guess this is something we can all relate to. Still it made for a more dramatic shot, the waves rolling in on this look wild. I like the lighthouse off there in the distance behind the trees too. I can echo Marzena's appeal too - 30 degrees in London right now, so I'm envious of your windy weather!
Jim, I'm very glad to see a new post from you. After watching Tick's post , thought you were in the hospital, lol,
Think it's anyhow better to be in the rain than in a hospital.
Good picture JimissingingintherainboB.
Regards, Cornelius.
Rotten days have just as many rights to photographed as sunny days have. You are just exercising those rights.lol! I love the lighthouse peeking through in the distance. Good shot JimsingingintherainboB.
" A citizen can hardly distinguish between a tax and a fine, except that the fine is generally much lighter."
G. K. Chesterton.
You are neither taxed nor fined if you look at My Gallery.
Still love this image Jim. You sure can tell a storm is coming in by the looks of the colouring of the foam of the waves. I think the composition and you story is fabulous & it's too bad it rained but the colours and clarity are still outstanding. Love the light house behind the beautiful trees.
Jim, I have seen my share of mud so you can guess that I like your photo!! There some who only want the pretty days and the pretty pictures, but A Sunny Day Gone Bad is an example of reality photography. Good one, JimineedmyrainbootsboB.
Pictures say a thousand words but the artist taking the picture can say more. Take care and god bless you and yours each and every day'
What really brings a member to view your work I say the naming of your image I know it does me, the name makes me want to see that image'
Into every life a little rain must fall, and that was your rainy day picture..I like how you caught the somber mood with the windy choppy lake and low hanging clouds...good job capturing the whole effect!
