I added a little HDR to this picture. I'm not sold on the results of this, but I thought I would post it, and get some honest opinions. Thanks for the comments.
I like it and I sorta don't like it. Maybe I'm just not used to you using HDR on your photos. The scene and colors are brilliant! I'm still looking and I'll let you know what I decide..lol..its on my DT!

Ok...I looked for awhile and I really love it! It looks like a painting of a fancy sort. You can buy me that house if you like!..lol..Excellent work Jim!

Don't knock something new untill you try it....Great job on the HDR Jimbob. It's not too overdone and the colors are subtle. Beautiful work and I think you should be proud of this one.
I know what HDR is, but I didn't know you could do a 'little'. lol Looks really fine to me Jimbob, and it is definitely the lighting that HDR offers that makes this really stand out. Wonderful job with good definition and fine colors.
Hi Jim,
I quite enjoy the fantasy like scape,
Some have mentioned the clouds to be a bit reddish, mine are usually to blue, I then desaturate on them and I like the results a lot, seems to bring up a lot of dynamism,
Perhaps you could try that,
Beautifully done,

... I shall oblige you.
/\ Just kidding a bit. :oP
Now then ...
Think you present to us a good good HDR image, Jim.
My own personal tastes are for 'understated'. And in saying that, I am not inferring that the 3D aspect is loss. Not at all.
Caveats?
Trying to dredge my memory in terms of the toning and curves work that might address some ... some, mind you ... loss of details in the reds and yellows. Minor, at best.
Perhaps, some additional post processing ... as in some Selective Colour adjustment might bring, or introduce better neutrals and/or blacks? Just some thoughts.
Good composition, very pleasant to view.
And again, personal tastes perhaps and most certainly in my humble opinion ... kind of like the warmth of your image here. Not sure what time you actually shot this, however to my eyes looks like late afternoon light. Nice.
Only when viewing your image at the larger resolutions does some digital noise become readily apparent. Most definitely something that comes into play with HDR imaging. And it is not bad, to be clear here.
Summarizing, nice work. A subtle touch that resulted in a good good one.
Annnnnd ... but of course, thank you for sharing this one with us. :o)
I think the HDR is a success JimBob. I like the 3d rendering of the house, it adds to the scene. Especially with the line of the driveway leading up to it. The HDR hasn't affected the way the foliage looks too much either, it's still nice and soft. My one comment would be about the yellow colour cast, which could be easily sorted out with a white balance or curves adjustment. But having said that, it does add a nice golden glow so I wouldn't get rid of it altogether. All in all very successful I think.
