I don't know if this is a male or female Flamingo, but I named it Florentino Flamingo, because it had a nice ring to it. It is another resident of the Columbus Zoo. Thanks for the comments and views.
Great colors JimBob. I really like the way you captured these two with their necks - one in front of the other to form an S and a backward S. There must be two in the background, but it actually looks like one with two heads. You must have really had a good day at the zoo (or have you moved in there permanently?)
To me it sounds like a name for an pink Italian Gigolo Flamingo. Hey you better watch out! He may have the hots for those cute lady pink plastic Flamingo's in your yard...Nice capture Jimbob!
What a great shot of the flamingo's, I love the color pink on them. Fact; Flamingo's get there pink coloring by the food they love to eat, shrimp! I just had to get that out, I sure most of you know that already.

The one at the foreground is a male and the other ones are female flamingos Jimbob. You could have known this answer as males (esp. human males) are always at the foreground, lol.
Great post my friend!

I love these birds. We only have a couple left in zoo's over here. We are not allowed to import any more due to bird flu. So much detail in you wonderful capture of them. Lyn.
