You make it look easy, Jim, but I've made dozens of bad Canada goose pix.

It's HARD to get those inquisitive black eyes to show in the midst of all those coal-black feathers, and the white band around the neck can make a meter go silly. Then there are all those midtones in the feathers to capture and the durn things MOVE while you're trying to keep them in focus.

Not to mention, they have the innate superiority of cats and make sudden decisions about photographers who have obviously inadequate flight and swimming skills and only rudimentary waddling skills.

Catching them on that little slope really adds to the composition, too. Good job all 'round.

I really do like this extra special Canadian Geese shot Jimbob! Usually they are just swimming along or eating grass, but it looks like you got these ones to pose for you making a perfect picture, Exceptional! for a goose shot and and I don't say that often...smile
