The title is a song from the 70's. The heron is at Magee Marsh and Wildlife Preserve, on Lake Erie in Ohio. Thanks for the comments and views.

Thanks for the song link. I was trying to remember the tune when I saw the title! Excellent capture of Jackie Blue Heron! Looks like you got fairly close. These are magnificent birds.

Lol on your lifestyle JimboB. The first comment on Jackie Blue said it was a great song to smoke pot to. lol
The heron shot is great. I haven't been able to get close enough to one around here. They are so skiddish. I will just enjoy this one. Clarity and coloring is perfect.
Another great post.

Jim, I enjoyed the music, I always liked that song to. Your capture of that Blue Heron, is superb. Perfect on the focus, color and details. I'm not sure if you remember that I posted a couple of Heron images awhile back and they were from the same place Jimbob! You and the lens did a wonderful job on this one. Now that I think about it, the place I visited was not on the lake, but just off of US 6.

Lt Columbo,
There is just one thing I find most intriguing about the bird ....
Do you know him personally ?
Is he any relative of yours ?
When have you seen him last ?
What was his mood ?
If not suicidal, then this is a homicide case for you, Lt.
I got stuck and cannot move any further - must be the shock after this traffic accident and subsequent news I got at a police station when testifying last [this] Monday.

Hello Mr Falk,

I saw this in the VB and was very impressed and thought it was a picture from Louisiana, and was so surprised to see it was a beautiful Heron photo from northern climes.
