I was told by one of the workers at the Butterfly House, a butterfly that is sitting with it's wings spread is an older butterfly. Say hello to grandpa, then. LOL. Thanks for the comments.

Hi Jim I believe you're quite able to find out so different types are you in some specific place or somewhere in the world?
Lovely, very lovely.

Yes, I see Grandpa's going grey but he's still got some handsome time left on him! Very very nice!

So beautiful! I'm sure seeing more kinds of butterflies that I've never seen before from you. The background leaves and the flower look great with this darker butterfly! Really set off nicely Jim! Faved once again!

Interesting bit of knowledge. This guy looks as though he has lost some of his wing parts. Still very delicate looking and the flower makes a pretty background Jim.

This one looks to be metalic or dull silver, maybe because it's older, huh? Nice shot of gramps.

I disagree JB. I am old and gray and I don't spread my wings very often. lol Looks like this one has been scuffling a tad. I would hate to see the other one. Great capture and wonderful series.

He's still a striking fellow Jimbob for being a grandpa, lol. Now are his wings actually like that or has he had some battles with others?

Fabulous capture and presentation

Thanks Jimbob, now I know why I tend to stretch out my arms now and then while sitting at the computer - LOL. Grandpa looks a bit weather beaten and ripped the the edges but still it is a very nice image.

This butterfly does look abit be-draggled, so no wonder he is sitting there resting its little wings, but on a very beautiful flower. Well done!
