Just gave you a 10 Jimbob in VB, this is a magnificent close up capture of this gorgeous eagle. Such colour and detail, plus clarity.

Your title reminds me of a line in The Princess Diary 2 near the end of the movie. The Queen, Julie Andrews, was the queen.

What a great movie that was. They always looks so resplendent JimboB. You have taken a great shot of this one. Looks like he just flew off the seal. National one that is.

Love the eagles watchful eye ... great lighting too. A bit soft on the detail of the wings, but I sure do love how the eagle contrasts with the green grass. Very nicely captured Jim.

I always have mixed feelings about seeing birds like this in captivity. In Australia we have the wedge tailed eagle - a bird of similar size. In my travels I have seen them soaring freely and when I encounter them in zoos I feel for them. At least it gives us the chance to photograph them and pass on their beauty to others.
